Our Position

Play for Fun. Keep It That Way.

Instaplay was built around one simple belief: online gaming should be entertainment, not a source of stress. For the vast majority of our players across the Philippines — whether they're putting a small bet on the PBA Finals, enjoying a few rounds of online bingo, or trying their luck at baccarat — that's exactly what it is. Fun. A pastime. Something to enjoy.

But we also know that for a small number of people, gambling can become a problem. It can start gradually — a bit more time spent, a bit more money deposited — and it can affect not just the player but their families, too. Instaplay takes that seriously.

That's why responsible gaming isn't something we treat as a box to tick on a compliance checklist. It's part of how we actually operate the platform, day to day. The tools described on this page are built directly into every Instaplay account. They're not buried five menus deep. They're right there, accessible the moment you need them — because the moment you need them is usually the moment you need them fast.

If you're reading this page because you're worried about yourself or someone you know, that's already a positive step. Keep reading — we hope this helps.

Built-In Player Tools

Your Controls, Right Inside Your Account

These tools are available to every Instaplay player, free of charge, at any time. Log into your account and find them under Account Settings → Responsible Gaming.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you're comfortable depositing per day, per week, or per month. Once you hit your limit, Instaplay will block further deposits until the period resets. You can lower a limit immediately — increases take 24 hours to take effect.

Available Now

Loss Limits

Cap how much you're willing to lose in a given timeframe. If your net losses reach the limit you've set, Instaplay will suspend further gaming activity for the rest of that period. This one is particularly helpful during a bad run.

Available Now

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session length and Instaplay will send you a notification when you've been playing for that long. You can also set the platform to automatically log you out at the end of your session — a simple but effective nudge.

Available Now

Cool-Off Period

Need a short break? A cool-off period temporarily suspends your account for a period of your choosing — from 24 hours up to six weeks. During a cool-off, you cannot deposit, bet, or play on Instaplay. The break can't be cut short once activated.

Available Now

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion permanently or indefinitely removes your access to Instaplay. You can request this for a period of six months, one year, three years, or indefinitely. Once active, self-exclusion cannot be reversed during the chosen period — no exceptions.

Available Now

Activity & History Review

Access a full breakdown of your gaming activity — deposit amounts, game sessions, betting history, and win/loss summaries — any time you need it. Transparency about your own habits is one of the most useful responsible gaming tools there is.

Know the Signs

When Gaming Stops Being Just for Fun

Problem gambling doesn't usually announce itself. It tends to creep in slowly. Here are some signs that gambling may be having a negative impact — either for you or someone you care about. Be honest with yourself when you read through these.

Spending more money on gambling than you planned to — or more than you can actually afford — and feeling uncomfortable about it after.

Chasing losses — depositing more to try to win back what you've lost, rather than accepting the outcome and moving on.

Withdrawing from family, friends, or social activities because of time or money spent on gaming.

Feeling restless, anxious, or irritable when you're not able to play — or when you try to stop.

Hiding your gaming activity from family members or downplaying how much time or money is involved.

Gaming affecting your work, studies, or daily responsibilities — missing shifts, deadlines, or important commitments because of time spent playing.

Borrowing money, selling belongings, or using savings meant for bills or family needs to fund gaming activity.

If you recognise any of these in yourself or someone close to you, it's worth taking the self-assessment below and reaching out to our support team. You don't have to be in crisis to ask for help — asking early makes everything easier.

Self-Assessment

A Quick Check-In for Yourself

This is not a diagnostic tool — it's just a few honest questions to help you reflect on your gaming habits. Answer as honestly as you can. Nobody else sees your answers.

1
Have you ever spent more money gambling than you intended to in a single session?
2
Have you ever chased losses by depositing more to try to win back money you lost?
3
Has gambling ever caused you stress, anxiety, or arguments with family or friends?
4
Have you ever hidden or understated how much time or money you spend on gambling?
5
Have you ever used money set aside for bills, food, or savings to fund gambling?
Your answers suggest your gaming is in a healthy place. That's great. Keep using Instaplay's deposit and session limits to stay that way — small guardrails are the easiest way to keep things fun long-term.
Some of your answers suggest it may be worth taking a closer look at your gaming habits. That doesn't mean you have a problem — but it's a good time to set some limits or take a break. Please consider using a cool-off period or reaching out to our support team. You're not alone in this.

Healthy Habits

Tips for Keeping Gaming Fun and Under Control

These are practical habits that players who enjoy gaming long-term tend to follow — not just rules, but things that actually work.

Decide how much you're comfortable spending before you log in — not while you're in the middle of a game. Treat that amount like money you've already spent on entertainment, the same way you'd buy a movie ticket or eat out. Once it's gone, close the app. Instaplay's deposit limit feature makes this automatic — set it once and let it do the work.

This is one of the earliest signs of a problem developing. If you find yourself opening the Instaplay app because you had a rough day at work, or because you're anxious or bored, that's a different mindset from playing for fun — and it usually leads to longer sessions and bigger losses. Gaming is best enjoyed when you're in a relaxed, stable headspace.

Chasing losses is one of the most common patterns in problem gambling. It rarely works — odds don't change based on what you've already lost — and it almost always makes things worse. When you've hit your budget for the day, stop. The games will be there tomorrow. No single session is worth putting yourself in a difficult financial situation over.

It's easy to lose track of time when you're engaged in a game — especially live baccarat, esports betting, or a busy PBA game night. Instaplay's session time reminders send you a notification when you've been playing for a period you've pre-set. It's a simple nudge that can make a real difference. Use it.

Online gaming should be one of many things you enjoy — not the main one. If you notice that you're turning down family time, skipping social plans, or finding other activities less interesting because you'd rather be gambling, it's time to reassess. A healthy relationship with gaming means it enhances your life, not replaces parts of it.

One of the hardest things about problem gambling is that it tends to isolate people — you feel embarrassed, so you hide it, so it gets worse. Breaking that cycle by talking to someone — a friend, a family member, or a professional — can genuinely change the trajectory. Our 24/7 support team can also point you toward professional resources available in the Philippines.

Age Protection

Keeping Under-21s Off the Platform

Instaplay is strictly an 18+ platform — and in the Philippines, we apply the standard of 21+, in line with local gaming norms. We take underage gambling seriously and have multiple layers of protection in place:

  • Age verification at registration: Every new account must provide a date of birth. We will not process a registration for anyone who declares they are under 21.
  • Document verification: We may request a government-issued Philippine ID (PhilSys, passport, driver's licence, UMID, or similar) to confirm age before allowing withdrawals or during routine compliance checks.
  • Account suspension for underage activity: If we have any reason to suspect an account is being used by someone under 21, we will suspend it immediately pending investigation. Any deposits will be returned.

If you share a device with younger family members, please ensure your Instaplay account is always logged out when not in use. You can also use device-level parental controls to prevent access to the Instaplay site.

Parents and guardians: If you believe a minor has accessed Instaplay, please contact us immediately at support@instaplay.click. We will act quickly to investigate and close any affected account.

Responsible Gaming at Instaplay

Responsible gaming at Instaplay isn't just a policy page — it's a set of ongoing commitments that shape how we build and run the platform. We monitor unusual account activity, including sudden large increases in deposits, extended session lengths, and aggressive loss-chasing patterns. When we see signs that a player may be at risk, our responsible gaming team reaches out proactively.

We train our customer support staff to recognise and respond sensitively to players who may be struggling. If you call or chat with us and you're clearly in distress, we won't just process a deposit request — we'll check in with you and make sure you know about the tools available.

We also believe in being honest about how games work. All casino games on Instaplay have a house edge — that's not a secret, it's the maths. The RTP (Return to Player) percentage for each game is available on the game information page. Understanding that online gambling is not a sustainable income source is important. It's entertainment with a cost, and knowing that cost helps you manage it responsibly.

Instaplay is committed to continuous improvement in how we approach responsible gaming. We review our tools, policies, and training regularly, and we listen to player feedback about what works and what doesn't. If you have suggestions on how we can better support responsible gaming on the platform, please email us — we genuinely read those messages.
